Ruhunu Batik House

Ruhunu Batik House is a family-run batik workshop and showroom on Pedlar Street inside the Galle Fort, creating hand-drawn and hand-dyed batik clothing, sarongs, wall hangings and home linen since 2015. Every piece is waxed and dyed by local artisans using traditional Sri Lankan techniques and colour-fast dyes. Visitors can watch the batik process in our open workshop, join a two-hour batik painting class, or shop ready-made sarees, shirts, dresses and gifts. We also take custom and wholesale orders for hotels, boutiques and events, and ship worldwide.
